Mercedes Exhaust Hardware Parts
Mercedes is a prominent auto industry and market leader with a well-known brand name, showing off some of the best vehicles featuring stylish designs with long-term dependability. Their extensive and diligent past has been shaped around years of skill with high quality conditions for their vehicles, and more particularly, exhaust hardware parts and components. Mercedes exhaust hardware parts are a main factor to each Mercedes automobile and a vital aspect of what holds the system together. In general, rust is an issue no matter where you come across it in your Mercedes. But when it is in and around your bolts and nuts within the exhaust system, it can become an annoying mess. There are numerous ways to do away with a rusted bolt in your exhaust system, but it will take some careful cleaning and patience to do it properly. The first thing you need to do to your Mercedes is lift it up using the jack, then support the vehicle on the jack stands. Make sure your Mercedes is safe and sound on the stands prior to crawling beneath it. Begin to apply some penetrating oil on the rusted nuts and bolts. You are looking to the oil to soak up the section where the bolt and nut join on the exhaust. This is what is holding the system together. FCP Euro has a large inventory that is always updating Mercedes exhaust parts and hardware, as well as Mercedes general products.

At this point, you are ready to try and loosen the nut from the bolt. Try using a 3/8 inch ratchet and socket. If it does not come off easily, you may want to try using the 3/8 inch breaker bar for additional leverage. It is a good idea to put a fire extinguisher below your Mercedes in prior to the next step. Next, put on some welding gloves and heat the bolt on the exhaust system using a gas torch. The penetrating oil most likely will burn a little, but should not produce a fire. Heat the bolt until it turns red, then try and eliminate the nut or bolt using the 3/8-inch ratchet and breaker bar. This usually will free the bolt from the nut, but if it does not, check out the next step. Fasten an angle grinder to the air compressor by utilizing the air hose and cut off the nut and bolt that is still stuck and rusted. This is a last resort, but it will take off the hardware from the exhaust for sure. When this is done you must restore it with new hardware.
