An Audi TT is a 2-seat sports car built on the Group A Platform with the 3 generations being MK1, MK2 and MK3. The TT is available in front wheel drive and Quattro all-wheel drive along with a fully independent suspension and MacPherson struts. The third generation uses most of its parts from the Hungarian factory with body shells painted at Audi’s Ingolstadt. The TT name has been linked to the phrase “Technology & Tradition” and takes its name from the 1000TT, 1200TT and TTS race cars from the 1960s.The first generation Audi TT for the US market was nominated for North American car of the year and was also found on Car and Driver’s 10 best lists for 2000 and 2001. There’s 3 generations for the Audi TT including MK1 from 1998 to 2006, MK2 from 2006 to 2014 and MK3 released in 2015. In 2008 Audi showcased an Audi TT “S” model at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) known as the Audi TTS Quattro, this was the first “S” model available for the TT. It featured an updated 2.0 TFSI engine with 268 bhp and 258 ft lbs. of torque.
