The Audi A3 Quattro was available in the second generation with an all-wheel drive Haldex system. The Haldex unit operates as front wheel drive until a loss of grip is signaled. The second generation A3 Quattro models come standard with a VR6 engine along with the on demand Haldex traction based system.
