This means the Audi 4000 quattro had a spider gear differential with the drive system being all-wheel drive and four-wheel drive with the differentials in the lock position. A 4000 quattro falls under the B2 platform and has the same exterior styling as an Audi 80 but named the Audi 4000 for the US market. The designer of this body style was Giorgetto Giugiaro, the 4000 went by Audi 5+5 and Audi Quattro in other countries.
