Audi 100 Quattro Alternator Parts
Your alternator is what charges your car's battery and provides all the electricity your car uses including the headlights and starter (the largest energy consumers). If your headlights are dim, or your car is difficult to start, you need to trouble shoot your charging system including the battery and alternator for possible replacement.
About Audi 100 Quattro
The Audi 100 Quattro had the Quattro option available for the C4 chassis from 1991 to 1994. The Quattro model came with a ZF four-speed automatic gearbox. This all-wheel drive system was already proven on the 1988 Audi 200 turbo Quattro that took 8 out of 13 wins in the Trans-Am Series. The SCCA changed the regulation to two-wheel drive only and made it a regulation to run North American made engines.A prototype of the Audi 100 C1 with all-wheel drive was made in 1976; this was not the same Quattro system that appeared many years later. The Audi 100 C4 generation was available in a front wheel drive and four-wheel drive Quattro platforms with assembly out of Neckarsulm, Germany. The body styles included a 4 door sedan option along with a 5-door wagon option. Audi used type numbers to further distinguish each platform, Type 4A was put in place for the C4 chassis.
