The Haldex Pump is responsible for providing hydraulic pressure to your rear differential which is needed for AWD operation. If your AWD system is inoperative, you may be in need of a new pump. We always recommend to properly diagnosing the system before replacing parts.

Great budget kit for MK6R golf.
Pump is definately loud as FK haha.
Although install was no issue for me, it started leaking for no reason after a year. seems like the seals dont hold up.
if ur looking for a budget kit, u can definately try this. but beware of seal leaking possibility later.
Picked up this kit as I was in a pinch and needed an affordable option to get my MK6 Golf R back on the road ASAP without causing damage to my Haldex unit and rear differential. Usually with any VW Part I need, I'll opt for OEM or OEM+. This is well put together kit for the price, comes with everything you need to perform a Gen4 Haldex Fluid Filter and Pump service. Reasoning for the 4Star review is 2 things, First this Vaico Pump is LOUD! even after multiple purges with VCDS to release any air in the system, it is definitely audibly louder than the factory pump both outside the vehicle and in the cabin. Second reason for the 4 star review is the tolerances of the filter and O-rings. Granted I know these units have a very tight fit with the factory filters, some pressure is needed with OEM filter to seat it properly (I've used the OEM filter prior) However the Vaico Filter is VERY TIGHT! even after excessive lubrication with clean Haldex fluid, I ended up needing to use a soft wedge to slowly creep the filter into place and get it properly seated. Overall this kit gets the job done at an affordable cost and got my AWD working proper again. Next 30K service however I will be switching back to OEM parts and shelving the VAICO pump as an emergency backup
