Product Information

In the Audi VW/World, this type of engine mount is what's known as a "Dogbone" Mount. The nickname "Dogbone" comes from the shape of the engine mount assembly. Really it's an engine mount, specifically a Pendulum Mount, which restricts and absorbs torque transfer created by transverse-mounted engines under acceleration. It also reduces the pendulum effect on the upper gearbox and engine mounts. Without this mount, the engine and gearbox would be subject to a considerable amount of play.
