Jack Pad

A jack pad is a small, durable component designed to protect a vehicle’s undercarriage when using a jack to lift it. Typically made of rubber or hardened plastic, jack pads are placed between the vehicle’s jack point and the jack itself, helping to prevent damage to the frame, rocker panels, and other sensitive areas during lifting.

Jack Pad Failure Symptoms
  • Visible Cracks or Wear: Over time, jack pads may develop cracks, splits, or wear, especially if frequently used or exposed to rough surfaces. Visible damage can compromise their ability to support the vehicle properly
  • Compression or Flattening: A worn jack pad may become compressed or flattened, reducing its effectiveness in protecting the vehicle’s jack points and absorbing pressure during lifting
