VW Audi Piston Ring Set - Goetze 026198151B

Product Information

An engine piston ring set consists of multiple rings that fit into grooves around each piston. Their main roles are to seal the combustion chamber, regulate oil consumption by scraping excess oil from cylinder walls, and transfer heat from the piston to the cylinder wall. Typically, a set includes compression rings (for sealing combustion gases) and oil control rings (for managing lubrication).

• Excessive exhaust smoke (blue or gray), caused by oil leaking into the combustion chamber.
• Loss of compression and power, leading to poor acceleration and misfires.
• High oil consumption, requiring frequent top-ups due to oil burning inside the cylinders.
