The Video was helpful but I was unable to remove the rear hub. I took this part to my local garage and they installed it (with a little effort). The 2005 XC90 is silent again and the part fit perfectly.

Is there a formal name for these shields that Volvo calls them by? Do they have their own part numbers?

wondering why this fits both sides when Volvo has different part numbers for the left and right. Also, what is the fastest I can receive the part?

Volvo introduced a side specific shield to their wheel bearings to resist water from making its way onto the bearing. the original SKF bearing does not include this shield as it was not originally installed on the cars at the factory. At checkout you can select the best method of shipping which suits the time frame that the part is needed.
