OEM Made In Germany Shaeffler wheel bearing and hub assembly. A wheel hub and bearing removal tool is required to pull the old assembly out of the steering knuckle, and press the new assembly in.

Typically a wheel bearing is a set of steel balls within a metal ring, which is called a race. At the center of your wheels, there is a hollow piece of metal, called a hub. The wheel bearings resides inside the hub and helps to reduce friction when the wheel spins.

Problem solver
Volvo S40 bearings and similar body style models have press in bearings, in 40k I have lost 3 front wheel bearings. These are the answers, genuinely a great part. I installed these with the bearing retainer piece Volvo made to prevent the additional play the bearing makes since it is not a bolt-on I got them on FCP as well. As always a great product from an amazing company!

SO these FAG wheel bearings are just like factory. I just replaced the front passenger side one at 195,000 miles. They go in great, and they last a long time. I don't plan on replacing again.
