A headlight washer pump is a small electric pump within a car that delivers pressurized washer fluid to the headlight lenses, cleaning them when activated, typically in situations with heavy rain, snow, or mud; a failing headlight washer pump will show symptoms like no fluid spraying from the headlight washer nozzles, inconsistent spray patterns, or the pump not engaging at all when activated.

Headlight Washer Pump Failure Symptoms
  • No fluid spray: The most obvious sign - when you activate the headlight washers, no fluid comes out of the nozzles.
  • Weak or inconsistent spray: The fluid may spray weakly or in an uneven pattern, not effectively cleaning the headlight lens.
