This Hella MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor fits into the main convergence boost pipe on all Volvo twincharged engines. It is important to the proper running of the car, conveying the actual manifold air pressure to the ecu, which can then make adjustments to achieve requested boost. If the MAP is not sending correct information, or any information at all, it will cause a check engine light along with poor running, boost spikes and even stalling. Potential DTC codes are:

  • P0105 - MAP/Barometric Pressure Circuit Malfunction

  • P0106 - MAP Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem

  • P0107 - MAP Sensor Circuit Low Input

  • P0108 - MAP Sensor Circuit High Input

  • P0109 - MAP Sensor Circuit Intermittent
