This trunk compartment wiring harness is specifically for P1 chassis S40 cars. When it fails, it can cut power to the accessories in the trunk including the electronic locks and lighting. These commonly fail due to repetitive opening and closing of the trunk causing breaks in the harness.

Great replacement product for when the trunk isn't opening
Stock wiring harness got pretty worn out from opening and closing the truck. This was a great replacement and super easy to install.

Great repair
This wiring harness fixed my S40 trunk release. Replaced the handle first, but I should have listened to others and replaced the wiring. It was very easy to take out the old harness and replace with the new. The job took me about 20 minutes, but I never have any idea what I am doing. This was a really easy task, and solved the problem. Thanks

Fixed the rear truck release. The factory unit had multiple breaks in the wires. This unit fit into place perfectly within 10 minutes.
