Product Information

This Genuine Volvo trailer hitch is kit specifically designed for the CMA Chassis XC40. It includes the hitch, ball and receiver, control unit, wiring harness, as well as the hitch mount and hardware.

Software must be loaded onto the control unit by a dealership before trailering

This Volvo trailer hitch/tow bar was designed specifically for your Volvo XC40 by Volvo, and is supplimented by Volvo's Trailer Stability Assist Technology. This additional trailer stability control allows the car to better interface and react to the movement of the trailer with its own stability augmentation suite, keeping everything under control at all times. If the vehicle detects oscillation in the trailer, it will utilize individual brakes on the car, as well as electronic trailer brakes (if available) to gracefully keep things under control.

In order for TSA to operate, a control module and wiring harness must also be purchased, and the control module must be programmed by the dealer in order to utilize the advanced trailer stability control available to your Volvo.

The 2in ball hitch is removable by pin. The bumper may require slight trimming to fit, if so instructions and templates are included.
