Product Information
Volvo has updated the design of this part, the outgoing design is 31430195 which has a large rubber area, which was superseded by 31682684 and then 32298950. They can be used interchangeably, and if you have a pre-2020 SPA chassis Volvo you can choose to use this design.
Engine mounts are designed to keep your engine and transmission supported and fixed to your vehicles frame or sub-frame without causing excessive vibrations that can enter the cabin. Engine mounts keep your drive-train properly aligned and if failed can promote drive train vibrations and premature component wear. Over time, your engine mounts deteriorate resulting in extra engine noise, engine rocking, a less enjoyable driving experience, and thus must be replaced.

I purchased this torque rod mount in August 2024, and after only two years, it has already started to tear. I'm disappointed with its durability, especially since I now have to replace it. This time, I'll be buying an OEM mount to see if it lasts longer. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this product based on my experience. I only gave it 2 start due that it did it job well the torque rod mount.
The OEM torque mount on my 2019 Volvo XC60 failed before 40k miles. This improved design part was well worth the price and better controls engine movement, especially noticeable off the line from a stop.
This is the "revised" design, as the original design fails prematurely (was totally cracked through on my 3 year old XC90). The part looks good, however it arrived with the supplied bolt in the wrong orientation. I chose to reuse the OEM bolt anyway, so I took the supplied stuff off and put the OEM bolt back on the correct side.

I'm contacting you regarding a warranty claim for a Volvo torque rod mount (Purchased: 3/29/25). The rubber on the mount has begun to crack, and I'd like to know the steps to receive a replacement. I can’t pass the state safety inspection.
