Steering Tie Rod End

The tie rods of your vehicle play a critical role as they're the link between the power steering rack and pinion and the wheel spindle. Tie rod ends contain ball joints that tend to wear out over time due to constant wear and tear. When the ball joints within the tie rod wear out, it allows for play within the wheels which can throw off your alignment and cause uneven tire wear. Its always encouraged to check your tie rod ends for play as well as tires for uneven wear at every service interval. When replacing worn tie rod ends its always recommend to replace them in pairs as well as to perform an alignment.

Replacing the old inner and outer tie rods with the Meyle pieces tightened up the steering considerably. Old tie rods were quite loose and floppy, new units were well machined and easy to fit, especially using the universal inner tie rod tool from FCP as well.

Quality feel
These tie rod ends seem like a quality part, time will tell on longevity. They are made in Turkey. They are a bit longer than the stock tie rod end so when installed using conventional methods the alingment will be way off. I installed both sides the same number of turns onto the inner tie rods as the originals and the alignment was toe in by 2.5"! With some simple adjustment I got to within 0.25" to get to the alignment shop to get it dialed in.
