How Can I Determine If I Have a TRW, ZF, or Cam Gear Rack?

You can determine what type of Rack & Pinon was originally installed on the car by locating a service plate found on the Trunk frame or Door pillar. It will list many different components, with one being the "Steering Gear". On this plate, to the right of the words steering gear you will see a number - 2/3/4/5. The numbers 2, 4, or 5 designates a Cam Gear rack was used, number 3 designates a ZF rack was used.

Better than OEM. You should note that they have a hex socket/opening at the end to allow you to tighten the bolt without spinning. Other manufactures have a slot for a think open end wrench. The hex socket is much easier.

Well, these are made in Spain. Better than PRC! Picture is misleading, these have four flats upon which to use your spanner. It is 32mm, so most will have to use a large crescent wrench. I advise a dab of blue thread locker on the threads to prevent backing out and messing with the alignment in the future. If you have to remove in the future for some reason, just heat them a bit and the thread locker will loosen up fine. Be sure to buy new boots when you are doing these...
