After receiving two absolutely junk right rear tail lights from an ebay vendor, I gave up and tried FCP's . I was impressed with the quality. The other tail light housings were made in Taiwan and not well made at all. The FCP housing was made in Estonia and was much better in quality and fit. Thank you very much! I would recommend them.
Volvo Tail Light Assembly Right (240 244 245) Chrome Trim
Moisture? Cracked Lens? Aside from an accident, there is little reason to change your tail light assembly, although some owners of older cars like the look of new lights. Consider changing these in pairs if cosmetics are important to you.
When budgets are tight, but you need your car fixed now, our Economy brand is a viable option. Remember FCP would not sell a part we would not be willing to put on our own cars, but let's face it there is usually more than one option for a given part, and if you are on a tight budget (and haven't we all been there), then look here. Yes, there may be cheaper options out there, but we won't sell them. And keep in mind FCP ALL parts we sell with a one year warranty, so buy with confidence and get back on the road.

While the fit and finish of the light assembly was OK, there are usually trade offs when you go economy. In this case two lights were not functioning after I connected it. I found that two of the bulb sockets wouldn't make contact with the bulbs nor accept new ones. Bad plastic molding. Luckily I was able to salvage two of the original sockets. Also, I found that the printed circuit "film" to be quite difficult to connect to when trying to attach the harness connector. Holding the film securely, using a little di-electric silicone and a little muscle solved the problem. I don't mind buying economy as long as small problems like these are easily dealt with. When I buy economy I sometimes expect a little extra work. In my opinion, some companies "economy" parts are real junk. FCP's economy parts have always performed well even if I've had to "tweek" them a bit. I've never had an instance that caused me to return a part.
This light is NOT the same quality as the original Volvo tail light assembly. The adhesive used to hold each lens segment in is a little soft and allows the lens to slip around just a tiny bit. If you're really obsessive/compulsive, you may not be happy with it. HOWEVER, keep in mind that this little jewel also does NOT carry the same price as an original Volvo tail light assembly. For me, my old lights were working ok but I painted the car and the old lights were ugly enough that they detracted from the new paint. That's the reason I replaced my lights and it really makes the car look good - new even. Search for my name on Facebook and you can see the photos of the car before and after.
