Built with KONI’s patented Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) technology, these struts automatically adapt to changing road conditions without the need for electronic controls. Small, high-frequency bumps that typically make the S90/V90 feel harsh are smoothed out, while firm damping is maintained during cornering and larger body movements for confident handling.
Owners who have found the factory suspension overly stiff or unsettled on rough pavement will appreciate the balanced ride comfort and stability that Special Active provides. The result is a more composed, controlled, and premium driving experience without sacrificing the sharpness expected from a European luxury sedan.

If your ride feels a little bouncy or you can feel clunks in the suspension while it's going over bumps it is likely due to worn strut assemblies and shock absorbers. The purpose of the strut assembly is it acts as a central pivot point for the front suspension while housing the coil spring. It also dampens the compression and rebound of the coil spring as the suspension moves up and down.
