Suspension Strut Assembly Kit

A shock absorber kit is a set of replacement components designed to restore a vehicle's suspension system. It typically includes shock absorbers along with essential parts like mounting hardware and seals. These components work together to dampen the suspension by controlling the rebounding motion of the springs. Signs of a failing shock absorber include a bouncy ride, excessive body roll during cornering, nose-diving when braking, uneven tire wear, and sometimes visible fluid leaks from the shock.

Looking for the variant code on a placque in the engine bay not the door. Looking at the VIN your springs may be different then those in this kit, but if you reach out to our service department with your plate and vin we can build a kit that will work for you.

Hello, I have an 08 XC70. My service guy quoted me 1395 dollars for replacing "front struts, bearings, mounts, helper strings". I wonder if I can diy the repair and save some money. Is this kit pre-assembled or not? If not, do you guys sell pre-assembled ones? I understand special tools are required for assembling so I am trying to avoid doing that myself. Thank you so much.

The only special tool you would need is a spring compressor, part number CTA-4037K. Removal of the strut is actually very simple, it's held in by one pinch bolt at the bottom, and the small hardware at the top. Once unbolted, you would use that strut as a reference to put together the new assemblies. Be careful, the spring compressors will be under a significant amount of tension.
