NOTE:
For FWD and AWD applications with 'Comfort' and 'Dynamic' suspension packages. This is a suspension trim level from Volvo and does not mean electronic. There were three trim levels available: Comfort, Dynamic, and Sport.
Users have reported this product fitting very tightly on the knuckle. We highly recommend the user of a flapper wheel/drill attachment to clear the corrosion off the inside of the knuckle. Skipping this step may result in installation problems.
WARNING: Proposition 65 informationA shock absorber kit is a set of replacement components designed to restore a vehicle's suspension system. It typically includes shock absorbers along with essential parts like mounting hardware and seals. These components work together to dampen the suspension by controlling the rebounding motion of the springs. Signs of a failing shock absorber include a bouncy ride, excessive body roll during cornering, nose-diving when braking, uneven tire wear, and sometimes visible fluid leaks from the shock.
Suspension Strut Assembly Kit Failure Symptoms- Bouncy ride: The most noticeable sign, where the car continues to bounce excessively after hitting a bump
- Nose dive when braking: The front end of the car dips significantly when applying the brakes
- Excessive body roll in corners: The car leans excessively when turning, feeling unstable
- Uneven tire wear: Irregular wear patterns on the tires, often with cupping or scalloping due to inconsistent contact with the road

This was a great package, fitment was perfect, and every needed component was in this kit, only "special tool" was the spring compressor, and the if you needed one, the Ball Joint separator. Car is back to riding smooth and tight.

I just installed this kit in my 2006 V50 T5. This is exactly what you need for a full front strut replacement. It even comes with new bolts for the strut mounts! The Bilstein struts are very slightly more firm than the Sachs but are by NO means rough riding. I did have a hard time seating them into my steering knuckles all the way down because the paint was a little thicker than the OEM Sachs struts that came out, but they went in eventually.
If you are going through the hassle of replacing the struts, you might as well replace the bearings and mounts as well. This kit has it all. 5 stars.

Yes this will work with AWD, the main difference on those cars is in the rear. If you are looking for springs please email us with your VIN and customer service will find you the correct number for your car.

I purchased this kit for a 2013 Volvo C30 T5 R-Design. I'm concerned that the struts seem to be approximately 1/2" longer than the originals. Also, the bottom of the boots do not fit snugly on the new struts, the OD is small than the factory units.
Do I need to pick up some different struts?
Looks like the data plate reads 36 for front struts.

These struts merge a number of OE applications into one generalized strut, so there may be some visual differences in construction. The only way to get the exact replacement strut is to buy Genuine, if you want to go this route please contact us with your VIN and we will look into sourcing the code 36 strut for you. However, if you were to install these into your R-design it will fit and function just like OE. The boots will still do their job once the strut is compressed on the car.
