Torque:

Strut/Shock Absorber Fork, to Shock Absorber (pinch bolt), 60 Nm

Front stabilizer bar link to strut and spring assembly, 80 Nm

Strut/Shock Absorber Fork to Front Lower Control Arm:

  • Stage 1: 140 Nm
  • Stage 2: 180 °

Rear suspension must be torqued while compressed to normal ride height.

Rear shock absorber, to Lower control arm:

  • Stage 1: 90 Nm
  • Stage 2: 150 °

Rear shock absorber top mount, to Body (upper), 70 Nm

Volvo used both an M10 or an M12 rear shock mount nut. We cannot advise which one your vehicle has.

Suspension Strut and Shock Absorber Assembly Kit

A shock absorber kit is a set of replacement components designed to restore a vehicle's suspension system. It typically includes shock absorbers along with essential parts like mounting hardware and seals. Signs of a failing shock absorber include a bouncy ride, excessive body roll during cornering, nose-diving when braking, uneven tire wear, and sometimes visible fluid leaks from the shock.
