A Steering Shaft Slip Joint is an essential component in a vehicle's steering system, responsible for connecting the steering column to the steering box or rack. Made up of two shafts with cut splines and a slip yoke, it allows for the necessary movement and flexibility in the steering system while maintaining a solid connection.

The slip joint's main function is to accommodate for the natural movement and vibration of the vehicle's chassis, preventing stress and strain on the steering components.
