Intercoolers typically reduce the temperature of the air that has been pressurized by a turbo or supercharger. That pressurized, cool air is ideal for performance as more fuel can be mixed and thus more horsepower created. As a result any leak will greatly degrade performance as the system will not be able to maintain the needed pressure. One way to check for a system leak is to spray soapy water on the system as the car runs. Wherever you see bubbles forming you have a leak. Intercooler hose kits are a convenient way to refresh the system and be sure all your leaks have been addressed for the foreseeable future.

Turbo Outlet Hose won’t fit!
All the other hoses fit with persuasion, but the turbo outlet hose (shortest one) would not fit onto my ‘96 850 turbo’s pipe. Recommend the Vaico brand PN: 31261370.

difficult fit
Parts were a challenge to get to line up. Seemed like some boots angles were a little off. Took a lot of time and ended up calling it quits after installing half the boots.

intercooler hoses
Intercooler hoses were a tight fit...but works perfectly..i actually felt an increase in torque....but the old hoses were worn out.
