Your radiator is an integral, and arguably, the most important part of the cooling system. It is designed to expel heat from the coolant via the small fins. Most radiators fail when the end tanks crack causing leaks, but higher mileage radiators which have missing or bent fins often are clogged up with debris which can also cause overheating issues as the radiator cannot expel heat effectively. If your radiator is in rough shape we recommend replacing it. We also highly recommend inspecting/replacing the upper and lower radiator hose at that time.

My prior experiences with DO88 products have been very positive having bought their intake piping (IR120PES), intercooler piping (TR160B), and short intercooler (ICM290) for my 2010 XC70 T6.
In May 2025, I Installed this radiator myself as part of a 3 day AC and cooling system repair/upgrade, which required taking time off work.
Less than a year later, this radiator is already leaking from between the end tank and fins.
Even worse, the new AC condenser barely fit into the mounting locations and this radiator has no drain valve to empty the coolant. Its going to be a major ordeal now to remove this DO88 unit and replace with OEM without opening up the AC system. Given these factors (or lack of features), I should should have known better than to have installed it.
I can't warranty it now as I had to fabricate custom brackets to mount the DO88 short intercooler in this XC70 application. And no, these brackets are not the cause of the failure.
Very disappointed. Products like this make me regret trying "upgrade" my Volvo; rather, I should have saved for an actual performance car.
