Power Steering Pump

Power steering pumps pressurize the fluid in the steering hydraulic system to allow for steering assist at slow road speeds. The power steering system is powered by the engine via a serpentine or v belt which spins the pump pulley. Power steering pumps are generally a lifetime component.

However, poor power steering system maintenance, old power steering fluid, and incorrect power steering fluid can cause the pump to fail prematurely. If your power steering pump is screaming or chirping when you are turning the wheels you may need to replace it.

Volvo Power Steering Pump
I replaced the original pump that was leaking a bit. The Maval is working great and saved $$$ over having the dealer install a new one.

Would this be the proper 120 bar rated power steering pumps that came on the R model and not the 110 bar pump that came on the standard s60 and v70s for 2004?

I only need the pulley. Someone broke the edge of my pulley; probably trying to pry the belt back on. Do you sell the pulley separately?
