The oil trap box seemed to fit fine, but I think I needed the other kit with the higher engine serial numbers even though my number is lower than the cutoff. This kit has a u-shaped hose while mine needed a 90-degree hose which cost me an extra $56 at my Volvo dealer. After talking with FCP about this, it appears that Volvo supplies the serial number break between the two kits, and that there may be cars produced, like mine, that have the newer configuration. I had numerous ear clamps that didn't fit anything, and the larger ear clamp didn't fit the hose going into the engine block from the oil trap. It was way too big. I had to use a screw type hose clamp. I hope it holds. Another thing to watch for is that the material clogging the port into the oil pan may be thick enough that the oil pan needs to be dropped, like mine, in order to clean it out. If this is the case, remember to get the oil pan o-rings, the oil cooler o-rings, and anerobic gasket maker. Some suggest getting the newer style oil pick-up, but I didn't have time to wait for ordering a new one. I had oil dripping for several days from the engine block, so take care to clean it up real well immediately before putting the pan with the gasket maker in place so the oil doesn't have a chance to keep the seal from hardening. I don't know why it continued dripping oil for so long.
