An odometer drive gear, also known as a speedometer drive gear, is a vital part of a vehicle's speedometer system. It is responsible for converting the rotational speed of the vehicle's transmission or drivetrain into an accurate measurement of the vehicle's speed. This measurement is then displayed on the vehicle's speedometer gauge.

About Odometer Gears

Owned by Jeff Caplan, Odometer Gears started out when the Owner of the company needed to replace the Odometer gear on his 1980 BMW 528I to complete the restoration of the vehicle. However, after searching from repair shop to repair shop, everyone want to sell him the entire cluster repair service or in some cases the entire instrument cluster itself which could cost up to $1600 installed. Once he made his first gear, word got out and he quickly started getting orders from other enthusiasts. Today, Odometer Gears still has the passion and drive to make inexpensive solutions to repair expensive components by developing smaller parts to repair them.
