Product Information

This kit is used to retrofit Nivomat self-leveling shock absorbers onto the back of a non-Nivomat XC90. Nivomat shocks use mechanical valving and internal springs to adjust ride height depending on the weight of the load. This makes Nivomat shocks ideal for driving with heavy loads in the back, or for towing.

Kit Includes:

  • 2 Nivomat specific Coil springs
  • 2 Nivomat Shock absorbers
  • Hardware
  • The ride height adjusts while driving, it is not an immediate change.

What are the coil and shock codes? I have an XC90 that had the Nivomat removed in lieu of a sport spring kit.

Hi there, sorry for the confusion. We looked into this kit and adjusted the description to be more helpful to our customers. This is designed to install Nivomat self-leveling shocks onto a non-Nivomat vehicle. The shocks and springs are bespoke to the Nivomat setup so they will override all the other rear spring and shock codes. If you aren't looking for a Nivomat conversion and need help finding the correct springs and shocks for your XC90, feel free to send your VIN via email and we will let you know exactly which numbers came on your vehicle.
