Hood Hinge

A hood hinge is the pivoting mechanism that connects a vehicle’s hood to the body, allowing it to open and close smoothly. Typically made of steel or other durable metal, it ensures the hood stays securely aligned when shut and provides stable movement when opened for engine access. Hood hinges often work in pairs, one on each side of the hood, and may incorporate springs or gas struts to assist with lifting and holding the hood open.
