Perfect fit even though the gas cylidar is slightly longer than OEM.
To install this, drop the back seat backs so the dog gate can swing as far toward the front of the car as possible. With the gate in this position, the gas springs are easy to install as they are the same length as the gap between the ball affixed to the roof, and the ball at the gate. Be sure to remove the retaining wires that clip around the circumference of the lower ball. Remove these by un-clipping the wire from the ball socket and then pulling straight away from the ball mount.
