Product Information
This kit contains an updated pressure sensor and fuel line that came as standard on mid-2016 and newer P3 chassis 2.0T 4cyls. It is used to retrofit earlier vehicles with the updated components as per Volvo Technical Journal TSB 33676
A fuel pressure sensor is an essential component in a vehicle's fuel system, typically located on the fuel rail or line. It monitors the fuel pressure going into the engine's fuel injectors, ensuring that the engine control unit receives accurate data to adjust the fuel delivery for optimal engine performance and efficiency.
Fuel Pressure Sensor Failure Symptoms- Hard Starting or No Start: If the sensor fails completely, the ECU may prevent the engine from starting to protect it from running too lean or rich. This can lead to difficulty starting or, in some cases, a no-start condition
- Decreased Fuel Efficiency: Incorrect fuel pressure readings can cause the ECU to send too much or too little fuel to the engine, resulting in decreased fuel economy
