Sock it to me!
Felt-like material gave me more confidence than the loose-weave nylon sock that was in my car. Tight clip, didn't hamper installing the in-tank unit.

Fit my replacement pump
A cheaper aftermarket fuel pump I used did not include a new strainer (which is required for warranty... imagine that...) and this one worked perfectly.

Very difficult to install on the new Delphi tank pump. Had to be a micro change in the diameter of the inlet plastic round. Tried to put the old filter on, it wouldn't fit either. Twisting and pushing finally got it over just the lip of the inlet. Finally had to whack it with a rubber mallet. Seemed to go on further. Shaped differently too from the old sock filter. Difficult to insert into the the tank opening after installed on the new pump. Hoping dearly it stays on inside the tank. Difficult and frustrating evening.

Fit same as original. Works and is working. Do not forget small bellows hose attached.
