When loosening the fuel filter, the connection adapter is often destroyed. Since the manufacturer only offers complete cables, some of which are no longer available, we offer this repair kit as a more cost-effective alternative.

Questions & Answers

Ask a question
Question Posted by a customer
The connector on my 2006 S60 is leaking, broke when trying to change fuel filter. With this kit, do I just cut the old connector off the fuel and 1" or so up and will this brass insert with nylon sleeve fit into that original hose? I gather the new quick connector just goes into that new piece of hose with a clamp?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Yes, that is exactly correct.
Question Posted by a customer
Ive used this repair on my v70 classic 2.4na. Now the fuel pump is noticeably louder. Before repair , the pump was silent. Car starts and drives really well and I am getting great fuel economy. 40mpg on a good run. Any thoughts?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Not sure what in this kit could have made the pump any louder, should not have had to remove the pump itself to install this at all.
Question Posted by a customer
Does this repair both sides of the fuel filter, or just one side?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Just one side / one connection, for vehicles with the 90 degree connection.
