Suspension Strut Assembly Kit

A shock absorber kit is a set of replacement components designed to restore a vehicle's suspension system. It typically includes shock absorbers along with essential parts like mounting hardware and seals. These components work together to dampen the suspension by controlling the rebounding motion of the springs. Signs of a failing shock absorber include a bouncy ride, excessive body roll during cornering, nose-diving when braking, uneven tire wear, and sometimes visible fluid leaks from the shock.

Suspension Strut Assembly Kit Failure Symptoms
  • Bouncy ride: The most noticeable sign, where the car continues to bounce excessively after hitting a bump
  • Nose dive when braking: The front end of the car dips significantly when applying the brakes
  • Excessive body roll in corners: The car leans excessively when turning, feeling unstable
  • Uneven tire wear: Irregular wear patterns on the tires, often with cupping or scalloping due to inconsistent contact with the road

Excellent Kit!
Just installed this FCP Euro kit on my S70. I was delighted that FCP included all the necessary parts...even the ones that are supposed to be replaced, but usually aren't, such as the torque-to-yield bolts. Perfect replacement
Fantastic improvement in ride. Old shocks were completely shot after 160k km, so these are having a night and day difference on my '00 V70

bilstiens touring struts
change out original with the Bilstiens B4 touring . Rides alot better.Happy so far.Install was simple. 2hrs and 45mins.

I've only had them on the car for a few hundred miles but they are doing the job in giving me a smoother ride so far. I'm a tall guy so I like that the touring model lifts the car up slightly.

Contains everything you need
Just installed in my 850, and contained everything i needed to install. Was waiting for a second hand to get a rear antisway bar in, and during this time was able to completely assemble the whole strut assembly and then after just drop in. I wish it had came with a option to get the xc90 spring seat though, I'm kinda worried about the spring seat giving out again in the future, and have heard the xc90 spring seat is a perfect replacement. Car has a definite improvement in driving. A little bumpy on first day driving with H&R springs, but going to give them some time to settle in.

Comprehensive Kit
This was a great kit, my 1996 850 turbo was making all kinds of noises in the front end when entering/exiting my semi-steep driveway. This kit cleaned up everything, made it tight and better to drive! Only problem I have a year later is that the spring seats gave out. This is a common failure part in the 850's. Sorry FCP, I buy 99% of my parts from you but IPD offers a custom Heavy Duty version of this part so I am installing it next weekend. Driver side A-Arm bushings gave out within a year, but FCP got me a replacement one with no problems! Other than that the struts are amazing!

Great kit and even better pricing
My 850 was knocking like crazy after bumps, using this kit along with new control arms completely changed how the car handled. The car has 200k miles on it but still feels nice and smooth for a car that's 17 years old. At first I was worried about using the bilstein touring's on a daily driver, but these are the shocks that should've came with the car. Just make sure to pick up some spring compressors and the volvo strut tool, and it'll be a piece of cake!
