Replaces my missing splash guard's bolts
Great little M8x16 bolt. I bought it along with washer 986501 since it only comes with the bolt and the splash guard underneath my 2005 XC90 actually has washers installed too. Somehow the original washers seem to stay stuck to the bolt, there's a little play but something on the threads prevents it the bolt from separating from the washer. It may just be corrosion that accomplishes that. However with the new bolt and washer the washer freely falls away from the bolt. The bolt presents a 10mm hex head atop that M8 thread, so everything matches up with what's expected. Now my splashguard will have less vibration/rattle to it not that I ever heard that but peace of mind knowing nothing is flexing about down there or possibly caught in snagged by something on the road.

Sure beats $40 for the splash shield hardware kit if you only need one or two bolts. Why do they always go missing...?

Lots of uses
This bolt is used for several applications on the XC90 and other Volvo's... For me I got them to replace most bolts for the underneath splash guard, great fit!

Flange Screws
Perfect replacement for the rusty screws that hold the lower engine guards on. Got tired of breaking the old ones off in the hole and this makes it much easier for removing on the next oil change!!

Was expecting more of a flange.
These screws fit well but I was using them to replace missing screws in the plastic dust cover under the engine compartment. They didn't have enough of a flange so I purchased some washers and they work.
