The hangers are typically made of rubber or rubberized metal components, which provide flexibility and dampen the vibrations from the engine and exhaust system.

Exhaust Bracket Failure Symptoms
  • Excessive Vibration or Noise: A broken or damaged hanger may allow the exhaust system to move excessively, resulting in vibrations that can be felt inside the car, particularly from the floorboard or seats. You might hear clunking or rattling noises, especially when accelerating, going over bumps, or driving on rough roads.
  • Exhaust Pipe Misalignment: The exhaust components may shift or misalign, which can affect the performance of the system and lead to damage over time.
  • Increased Engine Noise: A loose exhaust system might allow for an increase in engine noise, especially if the muffler is not properly supported or the system becomes unbalanced
