Volvo Evaporative Emissions Hose - Genuine Volvo 1270480

I purchased a used 1998 V70 T5 with 260,000 miles. It had a P0455 code and constantly reeked of gasoline fumes. Turns out, two of my EVAP hoses were completely torn and one of my check valves was missing. Not great. I couldn't find any solutions on forums or YouTube for my specific model. My problem didn't seem like an ordinary one. Furthermore, it seems like the exact system that fits my car can't be purchased anywhere online. Sites like IPD said this part (1270480) would fit, but FCP said it wouldn't. FCP was technically correct; the hose leading from the middle check valve toward the cabin is WAY too short. However, by removing the Oetiker clamp pictured (nerve-racking since they're 1-time use), I was able to tug off the short hose leading toward the cabin and instead plug it into the hose that was already in my system. Then, I just snipped the extra length off of the other two hoses with scissors. So far, this seems to have fixed the issue and cleared my P0455 code. It's not a perfect fit, but it worked well enough. I'll update if the code returns. To be honest, this seems a little overpriced to me, since 2 check valves should be <$50 and an additional $50 for hoses and the plastic T piece seems steep, but beggars can't be choosers! I'm just happy my issue is fixed.

This part is great, service great as always. However, I did not do my homework. I own a 2004 S60R. This part does not fit. It is an emission code Y, but the serial code is too high (cut off in the 09xxxx, mine is 37xxxx). Double check the VIN and definitely look at your current part to see a match. The other one will fit. Thanks FCP! Already placed the order for the other one and filling out a return.
