Engine mounts are designed to keep your engine and transmission supported and fixed to your vehicles frame or sub-frame without causing excessive vibrations that can enter the cabin. Engine mounts keep your drive-train properly aligned and if failed can promote drive train vibrations and premature component wear. Over time, your engine mounts deteriorate resulting in extra engine noise, engine rocking, a less enjoyable driving experience, and thus must be replaced.

About Hutchinson

Hutchinson's roots derive from back in 1853 when Hiram Hutchinson entered the shoe market under the brand name à l'Aigle. The company took its fist steps in 1860 to open up its third factory in Mannheim, Germany, selling to the Central European Markets. 30 years later the company began making bicycle tires in addition to the shoe manufacturing. It was 13 years later that Hutchinson realized that rubber can be used for everything and that they could produce much more such as automotive car tires. coated fabric for airplanes, and dirigibles. By the 1920's, Hutchinson was manufacturing products within 10 segments: shoes, clothes, fabrics, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, heavy vehicles, balloons, heels and technical products. Throughout the years Hutchinson had acquired several company's along with developing several new technologies including a process to get rubber to bond to metal via brass coating. Today The Hutchinson Group has become a specialist in elastomer applications for industry and the automotive sector developing new products including engine mounts for many European car makers.

Exact same part Volvo part without the logo
Just came in today and literally took me about 30 minutes to remove and install the new part. Test drove it right after and growling noise is completely gone. The old part had alot of play already, definately needed to replace it.

Amazing, effective and easy!
For my wife’s ‘12 xc90. Rubber on factory torque rod had not failed but rubber was hard as a rock and had no ability for shock absorption. The change in quietness and the elimination of the growling sound on acceleration is a remarkable improvement. I had forgotten how quiet and smooth the car was. My only regret is that I waited too long to replace in the first place!

Fixed my 07 XC90 3.2 like a charm!!
My XC90 had an awful growling noise upon acceleration and I eventually diagnosed it to be the torque strut. The old one was very loose and the rubber bushings on it were deteriorated. Put the new one on in about 10 minutes and just like that, the noise was gone! Thanks FCPEuro!!

So Happy!
Wish I had done this sooner. Eliminated horrible grinding sound and hesitation problem on my XC90. This is a genuine Volvo part with the logo and original part number scratched off. Very easy to install. Just remove bolts on ends and insert from below. No need to remove upper cover. Best preventive maintenance I've ever done!

Upper Torque Rod on my Volvo XC90 3.2l was broken and it was loose.
