Product Information

This timing cover fits in the rear of the timing belt area behind all of the pulleys and typically is the first to get covered in oil from either a cam seal or a leaking valve cover gasket. Subject to constant temperature changes, this cover tends to become very brittle over time and will either warp or crack.

Engine Timing Cover

The engine timing cover is in place to protect the timing belt or chain from dirt and debris. If a timing cover is cracked or missing it should be replaced to make sure noting interferes with the engine timing.

The timing mark is present and is located on the lower cover.

I cant express how upset i was to find this really nice quality peice has no timing mark on it. I would have saved myself the hassle had i read that review and 20 bucks total.

Engineer
The old timing belt rear cover melted down due to an overheat and blown head gasket and needed replacement while I had the engine apart. This was an affordable replacement THAT FIT the first time and didn't require a bunch of force or trimming to mount in place. I'll be buying more of these in the future.

Quality part but does not have timing marks for the camshaft sprocket and distributor sprocket. Had to carefully transfer the timing marks from my old rear timing belt cover.
