Worth going with Gen Volvo on this one!
I have six Volvos, 1995 - 2014. I often buy OE parts thanks to FCPEuro well-researched sourcing. Oftentimes it's the same supplier when it's "OE". In this case, I went with Genuine Volvo because I really needed to be sure it was a quality part and I've found that "Aftermarket" can be a crap shoot (unlike OE). I was a bit surprised to see on the label that these discs were actually "Made in Sweden" -- I didn't think that happened anymore. This brake change is the first for the 2014 XC60, at 91,000 miles! Perhaps Genuine Volvo original parts played a role in that? The other important thing is this "kit" included new bolts for the caliper mounting bracket. They are torqued to, no kidding, 147 ft-lbs per VIDA. It would be foolhardy to reuse the old ones as they could have been stretched. By the way, I'm not sure that I could have removed them without an impact wrench. Another heads-up: if you want to remove the slide rail (guide) pins, mine required a 9mm Allen socket, so check your toolbox to see if you have one (my Allens skipped 9mm, so I had to run to two stores to find one). I've heard that some XC60 caliper pins require an 11mm Allen... All of my cars run Akebono pads now that I've changed this one's.
