Product Information

A cup holder insert is an essential automotive accessory designed to securely hold various sized cups, bottles, and cans while on the road. It is a simple yet practical part that fits into the built-in cup holders of a car, truck or SUV, providing a stable base for beverage containers.

Constructed from durable materials such as plastic or rubber, cup holder inserts are built to withstand daily use and are resistant to spills and stains.

About Genuine Volvo

The original parts used by Volvo to build your car are available as replacement parts under the “Genuine Volvo” brand. Manufactured under the direction of Volvo, expect excellent quality and a premium price since these parts are exclusively available through the Volvo Dealership network.

You may not realize this, but the parts that make up your Volvo are not necessarily manufactured by Volvo. No cause for concern, as Volvo designs the part, hires a manufacturer, and ensures its quality to you. In fact, many of these manufacturers have been making parts for Volvo for decades. In our industry these manufacturers are called OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and these are often brands you recognize, including Lemforder, ZF, Sachs, Bosch, Valeo, Zimmermann, Siemens VDO, Corteco, and more. Don’t be surprised to open that Genuine Volvo parts box and find an OEM branded part inside, simply with the addition of a Volvo logo.

Be sure to keep an eye out for OE tags on our product pages to quickly identify parts coming direct from OE manufacturers. That extra bit of insight could save you some serious money while shopping! Refer to our OE Academy for further information regarding the OE/OEM tags throughout the site.

Great fit, simple to replace and now my coffee cup doesn't fall over
2004 Volvo v70 awd - the original cup holder lost all the rubber pads, so, my tall coffee cups would fall over going around turns or with semi-hard braking. This was simple to replace, looks great (as it's not clean) and my coffee stays in the holder.

Removal instructions needed
It came with instructions from Volvo on how to install but not with instructions on how to remove the worn insert. it's still in the bag, for fear of breaking out good plastic trim on the way out.

Good but overkill
The rubber tabs in my cup holder were worn out and missing like many old V70s. This replaced the whole unit, but it's a darker color than my car's trim (mine is grey, this is closer to black but close enough), and when removing the old one I realized it's possible to replace just the rubber layer, so this was overkill. That is, if the rubber layer is available on its own.

When the rubber insert wore out of my cup holder, I contacted Volvo to see about replacement. Their cost, for just the rubber insert, was $72. So I bought the entire cup holder from FCP and couldn't be happier. This is genuine Volvo part, fits and looks like new. Great parts, great service, great prices.

Question Posted by Brian
To be clear, as I seem to have omitted the key point in my previous question, FCP's site is saying this does not fit my XC70. If this is actually not proper fitment, can you please explain and maybe direct me to the proper part? Thanks.
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This will fit 2004 XC70's up to chassis 172999 (Last 6 Digits of VIN). Part number 9499103 will fit vehicles up to chassis -122999.
Question Posted by a customer
How to remove the old holder with the worn rubber separator?
