Perfect fit, exactly what I needed. Once I was able to get the factory clamps off, it only took me 10 minutes to get this on and everything reconnected.

Great Part

I put this on my 2005 Volvo XC90 2.5T and it worked great. The way the 2.5T engine is designed allows you to replace the hose without having to take any parts off except the plastic covers over the spark plugs and what not. Get two medium sized jubilee clips and you will be fine.

Perfect Fit

I watched a video or two on replacing this hose on a Volvo S60. I was concerned about having to dismantle the intake manifold, etc. etc. However, you only have to remove the two plastic covers from the top of the crankcase. Pry the little clamp apart a little and the top end of hose is lose. Same with the bottom...but you need a long screw driver. You CAN reach your right arm underneath the intake manifold and with your fingers wiggle the old hose loose. Piece of cake to replace it with the new one. Thanks!!! I have the same comment on why Volvo put a cheap plastic hose on there in the first place. Mine was brittle and cracked in three places. This new one is NICE.

Must Have Part

Stop reading here and just order this part. You're still reading.. so you must want more info. Basically, this is the first part that should be swapped on your P2 Volvo (pro-actively). The plastic part that shipped with your car is garbage and will end up cracked, blowing oil all over your motor. Pick up this shiny new rubber hose for a great solution to this problem. If you're crafty, you will only need to remove the air box to install this hose. Also, save yourself some trouble and order two Size 16 hose clamps.

Fit Well

This part fit perfectly and is of much better make than the cheap plastic one that came on the car. I don't know what Volvo was thinking putting those cheap hoses on there(Well, to save money I suppose). I would recommend getting two new one time use clamps, as I didn't take off the air intake, and it was a pain to screw tighten my new clamps.

If you own a mid 2K 2.5T you need to replace this hose as it is probably disintegrated at the engine interface. The original part physically crumbles from the reaction to heat and oil. A rubberized/silicone hi-temp replacement is provided by Volvo. You do NOT need to remove the intake manifold to R&R this tube. You will need to remove the top plastic engine shrouding. Once removed you want to inspect any wiring routing on the cylinder head area and around spark plug wires. Inspect for wire insulation deterioration from oil contamination. Remove any oil residue trapped in the cylinder casting pockets and around the oil filler port. The replacement vent hose is easily installed at the cylinder head but will take a little patience to connect to the lower box with a long screw driver. Facing the engine front and working with your right hand under the intake manifold, connect the lower portion. This is also a good time to replace your spark plugs if necessary. Also consider using a good quality synthetic engine oil for the longest engine and vent plumbing life.

Perfect Fit!

The old part was made of plastic and crumbled under the heat. This product fit exactly into place. It took a little time to install, but nothing too serious. I would say that pretty much any DIYer could change this out.
