This kit offers a comprehensive cooling system service when replacing the water pump on your P3 chassis 6cyl Volvo! Included are the most common failure and maintenance items regarding the water pump, including belt, tensioner, and pulleys. Also included are main coolant hoses that have plastic components that get brittle over time. This kit is designed to do it all at once keeping your Volvo safe and reliable for years to come.

This kit contains Zerex® G48 coolant, which is OE formulated to Volvo coolant specifications. Color dye is dark blue, and can be mixed with all OE HOAT coolants regardless of color. You can read more about Zerex® coolant and your Volvo [HERE].

Engine Water Pump Kit

An engine water pump is a crucial component of a vehicle's cooling system. It circulates coolant (a mix of antifreeze and water) from the radiator through the engine and back to the radiator to prevent the engine from overheating. The pump is typically driven by the engine via a belt, chain, or gear. A water pump's key functions are to maintain a consistent flow of coolant through the engine block, cylinder heads, and radiator and regulate engine temperature to prevent overheating or freezing in extreme conditions.
