This Victor Reinz gasket seals the VVT solenoid to the cylinder head, and features the small screen filter for the returning oil. It should be replaced every time the solenoid is removed or replaced.

Solved a
05' V70 2.5T - Had an intermittent CEL for a the exhaust VVT solenoid, alongside some sluggish performance from the car, and had a small oil leak on the exhaust side by cylinder 1, and replaced this as a start. The old gasket was horribly gunked up and it actually fixed my CEL, the sluggish performance, and the oil leak. Highly recommend replacing this before looking into possibly replacing the entire VVT solenoid or other VVT components.

these are the ones to get but you can reused them about 5 times if you take the top piece off the intake or exhaust of them. problem is they get sludge on them and ( build up of oil) plus the little screen get stuff in it after 20-30 thousand miles .never seen one leak just the build up so get some to replace as most corner stores wont have these.

Holding Up Just Fine
Needed to replace the old gasket after removing the original, old-style intake VVT solenoid, and upgrading to the newer-style solenoid on my early B5244S (which is definitely worth the upgrade, by the way), so I ordered a few of these, as spares.

Better safe than sorry
I replaced the gaskets on both a new exhaust solenoid and old (82k mile) intake solenoid on '07 XC70 - the gasket fits both - had been disappointed the new solenoid did not come with a new gasket, though. Super easy job, gaskets are obviously OEM or OEM quality, including the little oil screen. Did other work as well but these are pieces of the puzzle, and the car's been CEL free for 3 weeks now!
