Product Information
This Genuine Volvo plug is designed as an oil seal for the rear camshaft opening. To remove it, use a pick to puncture the center, then carefully pop it out. It therefore must be replaced whenever it's removed.

As with all Genuine Volvo parts, you can expect a certain level of quality. This cam plug is no exception. I have no doubt this will remain leak-free until I create one.
Tricky seal to install, ensure that you have the seal oriented correctly, you'll want the OE Volvo seal.
fits well, seems to be doing the job the original did or so long.
It's the Volvo part, and somehow it's reasonably priced! Naturally, it fit perfectly into my 91 240's B230F. So far, the brown slippery stuff is all staying inside the engine where we like it to stay. Can't ask for more than that.

Does this install with the metal side facing inside (towards the cam) or facing outside (towards the firewall)?
