Volvo Brake Vacuum Pump Repair Kit - ProParts Sweden 31401556

Worked great for me. I only needed the seals though, oil leak stopped.

Vacuum pump was leaking pretty bad. Used this kit and no more leaking. Simple repair and worked.

This kit deserves less than 1 star. For context this is my 6th Volvo over the past 20 years, I have primarily fixed them all myself. In the end, I picked up the seal kit from the local dealer. Everything fit as expected. Spend the extra few dollars and get the OEM/Volvo kit. I will not be purchasing or installing any Pro Parts Sweden parts on my XC90. The issues with the kit: The hose fitting is too large and doesn't fit. It's very close, but it would not clip into the pump. The seals are of the similar style to the Volvo/OEM seals, but the larger seal is just slightly smaller. I had a leak from this seal after installing the kit. The bolts provided aren't of great quality either. I let FCPEuro know about the wrong sizes but no action was taken besides acknowledging my concerns. I hope this helps.

Installed on my 07 XC90 3.2. O-rings worked but had to take some off of the tube that connects to the hose. Hose was not able to seat because the replacement tube was too long. Added a lot of time to a job that would have been very easy.

This kit was fine, and the O rings did the job. However, the new vac fitting/check valve was approximately 2mm too long on the side that connects to the brake booster, and required trimming to match the old OEM part and work with the existing fitting. The side that clips into the vacuum pump was also slightly too long, and was a real chore to press in far enough for the locking tabs to engage. I probably spent more time making this check valve fit than the rest of the job took. Not sure if it was worth saving a few bucks over OEM.

Watched a couple of videos on repair, took 45 minutes start to finish. Beats the $300 shop wanted to do job.

After taking the pump out, cleaning it, replacing the gaskets, and replacing the nozzle, there are now no oil leaks. nice product, good price, does the job well.

This kit is an easy-to-do refresh for your 3.2L/3.0L brake vacuum pump. Did mine at 138k as preventative maintenance while changing the accessory drive belt (ugh!) as doing so gives you more room to access the drive belt tensioner.

There is no more leakage.

I used this to repair my 06 BMW X5's Vacuum Pump it fits and works well so far for a year now.
