In Volvo P2 chassis cars, the ejector valve is an important part of the vacuum system that powers the power brake booster. It is designed to amplify the vacuum pressure to the brake booster and it can become brittle and break. If you have a sudden feeling of under-powered braking performance, check the vacuum hoses and pipes near the brake booster for a cracked or leaking vacuum ejector.
