HVAC Blower Motor

The HVAC blower motor is a key component of a vehicle's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. It is responsible for pushing air through the vehicle’s HVAC system, circulating either heated or cooled air into the cabin through the vents. Without a functioning blower motor, air will not be properly distributed, making it difficult to heat or cool the interior of the vehicle. A failing blower motor will make it difficult to control the temperature and air circulation in your vehicle, leading to discomfort in extreme weather conditions.

HVAC Blower Motor Failure Symptoms
  • Weak or No Airflow from Vents: One of the most common signs is reduced or no airflow when you turn on the HVAC system.
  • No Response from HVAC System: If you turn on the HVAC system and there is no response (no sound, no airflow), the blower motor may have completely failed.

Mahle Behr GmbH & Co. KG is a German corporation active in the automobile industry, headquartered in Stuttgart-Feuerbach. It is a specialist for automotive air conditioning and engine cooling systems. Mahle began in 1920 when pistons made of heavy gray cast iron were being used in internal combustion engines for automobiles and there was a need for a new design. Their catalog and online database of aftermarket engine components is an indispensable reference.In early 2016, Stuttgart-based MAHLE GmbH increased its holding in the Behr Group from 36.85 percent to approximately 51 percent with the acquisition of all shares in the BWK GmbH holding company. The company now goes by Mahle-Behr.
